Its been a relaxing first few days of holidays. Was more relieved that the exams are over and the first semester's ending. To be honest it's been a gruelling last few weeks. Though thats not the reason I have not been updating. I'm just lazy. >.<
Yesterday was the first day of Hari Raya. As the years passed and as I grew older, I'm starting to feel less excited for Hari Raya. Maybe the fact that I'm not close to my family members is one reason. Then again, I tend to shy away and sit at a dark corner during family meetings. That's just me. I only talk when I'm approached. Even then it would be awkward. Somehow I am rather silent and "unfriendly" in front of my relatives. Is this a different side of me that is finally showing? I don't know.
There's just something in me that's bothering and plaguing me but I don't know what it is. I guess this holiday period came at the right time. I really needed a peace of mind and to just put myself together. Maybe this is the time to rebuild myself. To know myself better and to understand others.
Hopefully everything will be fine.
ME
I'm a self -motivated, self-drivened and relaxed person. The rest of me are mysteries for you to find out.

Holy Month of Ramadan
Ever since fasting month started last monday, I have been getting sufficient sleep surprisingly. The ironic part is that since I have to wake up every morning at 4am for breakfast, people would think that I would have insufficient sleep instead. I have been feeling fresher than ever these days. Though I do have times when I feel really exhausted especially days when I have flights.
I have been reading this book called How To Be A Gentleman lately. Not that I want to borrow it but I was rather "forced" to. At least I got a free bag and bookmarks. Reading it was rather amusing because from all the descriptions the book gave about a gentleman , I have never actually seen a genuine gentleman in my life. Well this is probably my chance of being a gentleman and how fitting that this is Ramadan where men are suppose to be doing good deeds and well, just be a gentleman!
Okay, I keed! I can never be a gentleman. Its just not me. >.<

I Pledge to go GREEN
THIS IS MY HORRENDOUS PIECE OF ARTICLE. T_T
KEPPEL CLUB GOES EVER GREENER
Kampong Agas, a kampong which used to be situated at the southern tip of Singapore, survived by the use of natural resources available to them . There was no wastage. In fact, the simplest things like the husk of a coconut tree could be used for a variety of things such as a mosquito repellent in the Kampong hut to an insect repellent for vegetation purposes. Kampong Agas displays a simple yet eco-friendly lifestyle which would bring more good than harm to us. Thankfully for us, the legacy of the Kampong was not to be forgotten.
Since 2006, Keppel Club had gone on a mission to go green. One of its sources of inspiration was Kampong Agas, which was where Keppel Club is located. One have to only see the dedication and hardwork of the staff to know how driven and passionate Keppel Club is towards saving the environment. This initiative did not go unnoticed. With several awards and certificates from Agencies like The Public Utilities Board (PUB), Keppel Club has really shown their commitment to cause.
Keppel Creek, One of the many green projects by Keppel Club.
Keppel Club’s latest embarkment was their most creative yet. Having already done several green projects like preserving Keppel Creek, a mangrove swamp on the the shoreline of the club, Keppel Club have gone one better with their latest green invention, The Floating Wetlands. These man made wetlands is made fully using recyclable materials. It is placed at the several ponds the club has. These wetlands not only serve the purpose of Irrigation, it also acts as a natural filter for the pond water. In short, it cleanses the water in the pond. Their latest invention won them the ABC (Active,Beautiful &Clean) Waters Certification, a green initiative programme by PUB.
With the ever increasing need of saving Gaia, Keppel Club has paved us the way to carry out our daily lives in an ever greener way which we did not know was possible.

Another thing you guys may need to know about me. I don't rant and talk sensitive and personal stuff on my blog. So I'm sorry if any of you feel let down that I've not really been personal about my posts and of who I am. But what you see of me is what you get of me. Thats just my style of writing and who I am. I have a way for me to convert all the negativity around me and all the hatred in me into things positive. This is me and thats who I am.

How I Met My Seniors
Kids, a lot of things happened and passed these few weeks that I don't have time to have a well written post. Well luckily today, a quarter of my busy activities had ended. I'm not gonna write whatever that I think and experienced these past weeks but rather, I'm gonna write about how I met an interesting bunch of DTVM seniors after a very bondingful time together with a few of them today. This was how I met My Seniors.
This morning I had a wonderful time doing CASS Photoshoot. There was different portions to it. There are photoshoots to generalise the whole picture of CASS students. Group Photoshoots of the different Diplomas in CASS and also Individual photoshoots. I was selected for the group DTVM photoshoot and Individual DTVM photoshoot. This was when I met My seniors.
The first person I met was Bridget. As I rushed my way to Studio 19, thinking I was late, there she was standing at the entrance alone. First impression, pretty, fashionista and more of a DMC looking girl. And so I walked there and greeted her.
"You're DTVM right?" She said to me.
That was the conversation starter. Turns out the two of us were the early birds and had to wait another few minutes before most of the people came.
Next came Shafeekah (not sure thats the correct pronunciation.) whom I have met during the photoshoot auditions. To sum her up, she's the nice and innocent type of girl. A very DTVM looking person. And its true when they say DTVM students are the shy and quiet type as all of us just kept quiet initially.
The last to come was Denshu. Denshu, is a quiet yet friendly and sociable guy whom you can talk with easily. Mind you, he is in the DTVM honour rolls. He always gets A for his work. He is taking Diploma PLus for MATHS and is taking Private "A" levels. That sums up what you need to know about him. Thus, getting opinions from him was a very useful thing to have.
Both Bridget and Denshu were from 02 (awesome!) while Shafeekah was in 01 (also awesome la xD).The first hour was doing make-up with a professional make-up artist. As we all sat in the studio waiting for our turn to do make-up, we chatted and got to know each other a little more. As the only year one there, it was kind of awkward at first. Our conversations always ended up with food being the topic =.= (We were all hungry people) Breakfast was provided and that was all we could think about. We played a guessing game where each of us had to predict what was our breakfast. Bridget's was rice, Denshu and Shafeekah predicted somewhat the same with Noodles as their choice. Not to be overly optimistic, I said Bread. While doing this , Shafeekah and Denshu's stomach grumbled like an angry lion. Literally grumbled that led to a burst of laughter in the studio. By the way, our so called "sponsored breakfast" turned out to be a freaking donut. My prediction was unfortunately correct. =__=
Photoshoot was the awesome part. We did it on the hill near where the Aeroplane model was located at T19. The "DTVM look" consist of several props. A typewriter, IPAD and a clipboard. The initial shot consisted of Bridget, Denshu and Shafeekah. Shafeekah had to hold the insanely heavy typewriter, Denshu the clipboard while Bridget holding the Ipad. There were huge lighting set up and reflectors and all those sophisticated phototaking materials. Plus we had to do it under the hot sun. The next shot was me, Bridget and Shafeekah. I could tell that the two of them were suffering. Both had to wear heels and was constantly balancing themselves on the uneven grass surface. I was made a pillar for them to hold and balance on to. Afterwards we had an Individual DTVM photoshoot of which I and Bridget was selected for. It was a seating shot of which the both of us had to seat with a Macbook on our laps. The difficult part was the expression shown on our faces. We had to give a thinking expression. It was not easy with the sun just above us. All in all, it was a great experience. We were like professional models with the photographer directing our every pose and the make-up artist touching up our faces constantly. It was cool.
Sadly though, I had to rush off to Marina Barrage. We had planned to have chicken rice lunch together but I had to rush. There were a lot of things that we shared and I learned from them. It was a wonderful Saturday morning. Hopefully though the photos shot was as wonderful too. I hope i don't look ridiculous. >.<

Mayday Mayday
So yesterday was a very long day for me. Spent most of my time travelling to Seletar Airport.
On my way there, I revised and studied the theories while on the train.Flight Trainings is really not easy.
My schedules are all going haywire because of all the events I have.
Everything is in a mess. I feel like I'm putting too much priority on my flight lessons.
By end of this month I'm really gonna be dead.Okay I'm exaggerating again.
On that note, I don't know how I'm able to cope with my life. Its scary when i think of it.
Deadlines are approaching. CSM & HML still no progress. Will have to resort to meeting up I guess.
You have to look at my July schedule to see that I'm screwed.I need a moment of peace badly.
How I wish my life is smooth sailing. No one knows me that well. And i intend to keep it that way.
Everyone sees me as who I show them when I'm with them but that is not everything that I am.
Life is complicated because I choose it to be that way.For whatever reason that no one knows but me.
Perhaps its time I stop giving fake personas. Then again there's nothing fake about it.I hardly gave a persona.
My conclusion, be optimistic and positive and you will strive under any situation.Hopefully that is.
Ending off, I hope for the best and dread for the worst.
I REALLY NEED IT.

Minor GAD
The Circled dates are the term break.Out of 21 days I am only free for 7 days. This is what I call a hell of a holiday. This few weeks is something new which I'm experiencing. I feel the strain in me. Put aside school projects, and I have Flight Trainings.Put aside both and I have Raft building. Things keep coming at breakneck pace.Workshops, interviews, photoshoots and other events.Juggling all of this is no mean feat but I've managed to handle it well though I am struggling physically. My body cannot take anymore unless I get a much needed rest. Thats a plus side as physical struggle can be healed or replenished easily by getting a much needed rest.
However, I am constantly thinking and planning.Revising and remembering things.I also tend to observe people without notice and that keeps my brain busy too.Thinking of CSM and HML.Getting ideas on how everything would just seamlessly flow through the mind. I'm in a state of unrest inside.
The thing about me is that I have a minor Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Mentally fine, I am not.

Fit
From tomorrow onwards I will jog every morning.Do some little exercises like sit ups and pull ups too. I'm gonna get myself fitter during this holiday! Its a stress reliever too! WIN WIN!:D
BURNOUT
The June term break is suppose to be free and easy for me. Yet, my schedule is piling up. Oh the irony of it all. Every week starting from next week I will be having a minimum of two days of flight training per week. Adding to that, I would also have meet ups regarding a raft race which I had volunteered for that is organised by The Singapore International Water Festival. That would bring me to about 3 days booked per week. Not forgetting, two group works that I would be busy on. First would be HML (heroes, myths & legends) project. Not only would there be a need to do research, there would also be a need to resolve issues and hope the group can hide away each other's differences and click into gear. The other group work would be CSM(creative story making) project. I have the utmost confidence that there would be no problems arising from the CSM group other than ideas and research. After all, it is me who chose the individuals for my CSM group. These two group works would bring me with another 2 days booked per week. Thus in conclusion, each week I would be busy for a total of 5 days on average.
Honestly, I'm relishing this opportunity for me to handle all these jargons. I'm currently undergoing a steep learning curve. Its a matter of time before I fall. But before that happens, I intend to make the best of what I have right now. Yes the pressure is growing. Its almost at a PSI where no man can handle. Everything we do in life makes you a much more experienced individual. Hopefully a better person too. During this term break, I will be experiencing the most stressful days I have experienced in 2011. Discipline, commitment and a sound mentality is key for anyone to succeed in such circumstances. My brain will work double time. My body physic will be tested to its limit. I need to be at my optimum best.
Every area of my brain will be working and burnout will eventually get to me.
Here's a list of whats to come for me:-
- ground school exam - 11th June ( revise and study Aircraft Law & Radio Telephony approx 5 chapters long)
- Flight Simulator 2 Training - 9th June( revise and study basic aircraft controls & manoeuvre)
- Flight Sortie Assessment - 17th June ( revise and memorise everything that i have learnt so far)
Flight Trainings
Raft Competition Meet Up
- research on materials to make a creative raft( possibly to be done by next week or the next 2 weeks)
- research on the design of the raft (same as the above)
- getting the materials to make the raft(same as the above)
- building the raft itself ( by end of june )
All this to be done by 1ST OF JULY. Trust me one month is not enough.
The 2 group works CSM & HML
- both need to at least have a draft by the start of school
- need to do research and brainstorming of ideas
- a lot of hardwork to be put into this as it is CA2 which carries a lot of marks
The problem for this is finding the time for me to actually focus on the research.
Miscellaneous Activities
- planning for outing ( to be finalised by next week)
- logistical areas to be planned( to be finalised by next week)
- making myself free to hang out and chill
- some workshop about the power of words (next week)
And yes, it is all very, extremely pressurising to be in my shoe now. There's so much for me to cope in such a short time. I won't be surprised if I have to sacrifice my Pilot's License just to get more focus on schoolwork. If that's what I have to do then so be it. Sacrifices are something that you should see as a positive decision that you have made to improve on your life. Everything that happens and the decisions that you make will not be clearly pictured until some time in your life when you will finally realise that whatever you did in the past had actually helped you in your future. This is life. Never make decisions with a mindset that you're afraid that you would regret making that decision. Well, this is how i see things. As for now, DISCIPLINE will play a major role in building a part of myself. Nurturing a good sense of discipline would be key.

Battle Star Galactica!
As promised, here is my review on Universal Studios Singapore.
To start things off, this is my line up of rides and attractions that i have went for :-
Battlestar Galactica Cylon
Battlestar Galactica Human
The Revenge of The Mummy
Jurassic Park
Canopy Flyer
The Waterworks
Shrek 4D
Shrek Roller Coaster
The Madagascar Ride
& the rest are all kiddy rides
*It is in order of its awesomeness.
Universal Studios is basically separated into several "Cities". They are: Hollywood, New York, Madagascar, Far Far Away, Waterworld, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt & Sci-Fi City.
This is how my journey begins.
As I entered USS, I stepped into Hollywood.
My personal opinion on Hollywood is that it gives you a feel of things to come in USS. It is what that excites you in wanting to explore USS more. One negative thing that came was that the queue for the phototaking with the mascots were terrifyingly long!
I don't really find New York interesting. I guess its because behind the backdrop of NY you can actually see the huge rollercoaster tracks which lured me to go there asap!lol.
Personally, both rides were pretty good but I've been to a much better ride( flying a plane with 5G!).The Cylon was pretty much the best ride in Universal Studios.I seriously recommend anyone who goes to USS to go take The Cylon.
Ancient Egypt truly brings you to the world of egyptian pharaohs and queens. The place is unbelievably well structured to its bits of detail. There are even "pharaohs" walking around and having photo taking sessions with visitors. There were several rides in Ancient Egypt but i only went for one as the waiting time was pretty long.I went for the Revenge Of The Mummy ride. It is an indoor roller coaster ride.It adds another dimension into rollercoaster rides as it is also like a haunted house whereby there is statues of mummies and pharaohs which just pops out of nowhere to scare you.It is also quite dark but the ride is awesome to say the least.
Ancient Egypt is pretty much Ancient Egypt. Be sure to take the revenge of the mummy. There were also some other rides such as the treasure hunt which I was unable to take due to time constraints.Trust me one whole day in USS is not enough for you to enjoy every ride.
The Lost World
T-rex and dinosaurs come to mind when you enter the Lost World. I took two rides there. First was the canopy flyer.A four seater ride which is almost like a roller coaster minus the turns and loops. The next was the Jurassic Park. A water ride down a strong stream water.Almost like rafting. Its fun and enjoyable if you have more people in the raft. You WILL get soaked. This is also a must ride.
Jurassic Park was a very interesting ride. The dinosaurs there were almost untrue. It felt so real! And the ride can be scary especially if you take it in the evening. I actually took the ride 4 times! xD
Waterworks is a wet & wild show extravaganza. With real life explosions and action, you will feel like you are in a hollywood movie. You will get wet if you seat near the "stage". You will also feel the heat of the explosions.I won't describe much as it would be a spoiler to do so.All in all it was awesome and legen..wait fot it...dary!
Fairy Tales! I was in awe of the huge castle as i stepped into far far away.It was such a man made marvel. I went for the Shrek 4D show.In a nutshell, it is 3D plus you can literally feel the show while watching. An example was when Donkey from Shrek sneezed towards the screen, water will be sprayed to our faces as if Donkey sneezed at us!Other than that I took the Shrek roller coaster.
Far far away was filled with fairy tale characters from SHREK. Girls would be the ones who will be attracted the most to this place.
Madagascar
Alex the Lion!!*ROAR* Well, that would probably sum up Madagascar. It was kind of boring for me. There were mostly kiddy rides there. The ride that i took, the madagascar river ride was boring as can be. It was like being in a bumboat that was circling inside a cave with madagascar characters all over the caves. The rest of it i have forgotten.
Yes Madagascar was an experience to forget.Even as I'm typing this, I am yawning. >.<
Overall Universal Studios Singapore gave me an above average experience. IF you have the money then it is a must go.If not, there's nothing wrong if you don't go as you won't regret it. One thing for sure, do not go during the holidays or during weekends. Mondays to thursdays are the best. During peak periods waiting time for a SINGLE ride can go up to more than an hour.

This is how my journey begins.
As I entered USS, I stepped into Hollywood.
Hollywood
Hollywood is designed exactly like the real hollywood in the US. It is basically just a mimic of a street in Hollywood. It mainly consist of souvenir shops. The main attraction of Hollywood are the character mascots whereby you can take a picture with them. Mascots such as Woody Wood Pecker and Kungfu Panda roam around hollywood for fans to take picture with them.My personal opinion on Hollywood is that it gives you a feel of things to come in USS. It is what that excites you in wanting to explore USS more. One negative thing that came was that the queue for the phototaking with the mascots were terrifyingly long!
The Big Apple
Back to the 60's!
Next up, New York! It is somewhat similar to Hollywood.Only difference is that this New York is actually The New York in the 60's. As you walk past the streets, you will feel a nostalgic feeling about the buildings and structure. Even the the staffs there were dressed in a retro kind of fashion.I don't really find New York interesting. I guess its because behind the backdrop of NY you can actually see the huge rollercoaster tracks which lured me to go there asap!lol.
Sci-Fi City
This is where the best rides are in my opinion. You have the Two Battlestar Galactica Rides here! The Human and The Cylon!Well this is probably the main attraction in Universal Studios. Both rides are equally heart wrenching for most people. The best would be The Cylon ( the blue track roller coaster). The Cylon will let you experience 3 times the G-force (3 times your bodyweight) with its high-speed turn and drop.It is a truly sensational experience as you will even be going upside down at very high-speed. The Human however is a more relaxed ride as it is not as terrifying as The Cylon.Personally, both rides were pretty good but I've been to a much better ride( flying a plane with 5G!).The Cylon was pretty much the best ride in Universal Studios.I seriously recommend anyone who goes to USS to go take The Cylon.

Quote of the day
"It is very interesting to see what all of you have shown and it is even more interesting to see what all of you do not want to show." -Ms Gamar
Ms Gamar commenting on our show and tell. What she said is very true and has lots of meaning in itself.

The MSA
DT Presentation due tomorrow!
I believe everyone's busy preparing their notes and rehearsing their lines. As for me, I'm still tired after yesterday. Which means I won't be at my best for tomorrow's presentation if I do not sleep early. And I'm not able to sleep early if I have not done my notes and prepare my lines. So if I sleep early it would mean that I would not be able to do my notes and thus i have to be spontaneous like how I presented for HML. Its a vicious cycle. T_T
On a side note, my observation on the behaviour of my fellow friends(even lecturers) is bringing me to yet another interesting piece of info of the people surrounding me. Yes, if you all still don't know yet, I tend to observe and have an insight in reading people's behaviour and observing their small little detail in whatever they do. I'd like to think of it as my own little secret agency. Lets name it The MSA (Matin's Secret Agency). Its one of Matin's Holdings franchise company.lol!
Oh and friends, for the past few weeks of school, what you all know of me is just a small portion of myself. In a nutshell it just means that you guys really don't know me well enough.Alot about myself are still mysteries for you to find out. =D

Happenings Tomorrow!
I will be having a busy yet entertaining day tomorrow analysing and reporting on my upcoming assignment which is :
- The RSAF Open House 2011
I will be reporting for duty to review the RSAF Open House at Paya Lebar Airbase In the morning.Hopefully i would be able to capture nice pictures of the aircrafts on display. I would also take a video of the much anticipated aerial displays of which hopefully i would be able to post it here along with the pictures. I will also be conducting a Q&A to the pilots and personnel that happens to be there tomorrow.
RSAF Open House Attractions Includes :
- FREE aircraft rides -pilots will fly you islandwide in a 20 min flight
- 30 min aerial display (Morning & Late Afternoon) this is probably the best and the highlight of the open house
- Static Display Of Aircrafts
- Goodie Bags ( Every Singaporean's Favourite)
For those who are interested to go do come down tomorrow as it is the final day of the open house and have a fun filled day at the open house. (though it is a little too late for me to promote this)
Lookout for my review of the RSAF Open House which I will be posting probably by next week. The review would include interviews with Pilots and personnel. My opinion on the Open House and also Pictures and hopefully videos too!

-Universal Studios Singapore
Right, so after my visit to the open house, I will be heading straight down (yes thats how busy I am)to Sentosa for my next desination, Universal Studios Singapore(USS). My Mum's company had given free tickets to its employees to go to USS and so tomorrow will be the day my family will be visiting USS.
Well, I do not know much about USS but I've heard a lot of negative response from visitors. With its Offcial Opening just yesterday, yes its OFFICIAL Opening was yesterday , I'm hoping to get a much more positive experience from it.
I will try my best to take every ride possible depending on several factors which includes me getting dizzy to the likes of rain and thunderstorm.By the end of the day, I hope to review the rides as well as the facilities, customer service and everything there is to review.
Lookout for My review next week!
Okay thats all for now I guess.
This is your resident MoJo reporting!

Facebook Hacked
Well, my facebook account(people just love my account) got hacked again. The only thing that I'm surprised is that I'm not even panicking about it. In fact I'm more worried of Manchester United's chances in tonight's football finale.
The hacker is indeed a very cunning and smart person. He(assuming he's a guy) did everything he could to not let me log in to my facebook account this time around. This is because he had hacked my account one week earlier. But I managed to recover my account and reset my password on that first try of his. Now he's even smarter.
After hacking my account this time round he then :

After hacking my account this time round he then :
- changed my Password
- changed my email address( the email address for me to recover my password in case I got hacked)
- is probably laughing thinking that I'm cursing him for hacking my account
- is probably enjoying being Abdul Matin in FB knowing how cool I am (not true)
Okay number 3 & 4 may not be true.Just adding it in cause it looks nice. >.<
So what I did was i locked up my account and I am resetting my password by using another method that facebook have implemented.
The method is as follows: Select 3 trusted friends from fb friends list --->send activation code to them ----> they will confirm the activation code ------> and then I will retrieve my account back. ^^,
To whoever the hacker is, I'm not shaken one bit.
