Its been a relaxing first few days of holidays. Was more relieved that the exams are over and the first semester's ending. To be honest it's been a gruelling last few weeks. Though thats not the reason I have not been updating. I'm just lazy. >.<
Yesterday was the first day of Hari Raya. As the years passed and as I grew older, I'm starting to feel less excited for Hari Raya. Maybe the fact that I'm not close to my family members is one reason. Then again, I tend to shy away and sit at a dark corner during family meetings. That's just me. I only talk when I'm approached. Even then it would be awkward. Somehow I am rather silent and "unfriendly" in front of my relatives. Is this a different side of me that is finally showing? I don't know.
There's just something in me that's bothering and plaguing me but I don't know what it is. I guess this holiday period came at the right time. I really needed a peace of mind and to just put myself together. Maybe this is the time to rebuild myself. To know myself better and to understand others.
Hopefully everything will be fine.

Holy Month of Ramadan
Ever since fasting month started last monday, I have been getting sufficient sleep surprisingly. The ironic part is that since I have to wake up every morning at 4am for breakfast, people would think that I would have insufficient sleep instead. I have been feeling fresher than ever these days. Though I do have times when I feel really exhausted especially days when I have flights.
I have been reading this book called How To Be A Gentleman lately. Not that I want to borrow it but I was rather "forced" to. At least I got a free bag and bookmarks. Reading it was rather amusing because from all the descriptions the book gave about a gentleman , I have never actually seen a genuine gentleman in my life. Well this is probably my chance of being a gentleman and how fitting that this is Ramadan where men are suppose to be doing good deeds and well, just be a gentleman!
Okay, I keed! I can never be a gentleman. Its just not me. >.<

I Pledge to go GREEN
THIS IS MY HORRENDOUS PIECE OF ARTICLE. T_T
KEPPEL CLUB GOES EVER GREENER
Kampong Agas, a kampong which used to be situated at the southern tip of Singapore, survived by the use of natural resources available to them . There was no wastage. In fact, the simplest things like the husk of a coconut tree could be used for a variety of things such as a mosquito repellent in the Kampong hut to an insect repellent for vegetation purposes. Kampong Agas displays a simple yet eco-friendly lifestyle which would bring more good than harm to us. Thankfully for us, the legacy of the Kampong was not to be forgotten.
Since 2006, Keppel Club had gone on a mission to go green. One of its sources of inspiration was Kampong Agas, which was where Keppel Club is located. One have to only see the dedication and hardwork of the staff to know how driven and passionate Keppel Club is towards saving the environment. This initiative did not go unnoticed. With several awards and certificates from Agencies like The Public Utilities Board (PUB), Keppel Club has really shown their commitment to cause.
Keppel Creek, One of the many green projects by Keppel Club.
Keppel Club’s latest embarkment was their most creative yet. Having already done several green projects like preserving Keppel Creek, a mangrove swamp on the the shoreline of the club, Keppel Club have gone one better with their latest green invention, The Floating Wetlands. These man made wetlands is made fully using recyclable materials. It is placed at the several ponds the club has. These wetlands not only serve the purpose of Irrigation, it also acts as a natural filter for the pond water. In short, it cleanses the water in the pond. Their latest invention won them the ABC (Active,Beautiful &Clean) Waters Certification, a green initiative programme by PUB.
With the ever increasing need of saving Gaia, Keppel Club has paved us the way to carry out our daily lives in an ever greener way which we did not know was possible.

Another thing you guys may need to know about me. I don't rant and talk sensitive and personal stuff on my blog. So I'm sorry if any of you feel let down that I've not really been personal about my posts and of who I am. But what you see of me is what you get of me. Thats just my style of writing and who I am. I have a way for me to convert all the negativity around me and all the hatred in me into things positive. This is me and thats who I am.

How I Met My Seniors
Kids, a lot of things happened and passed these few weeks that I don't have time to have a well written post. Well luckily today, a quarter of my busy activities had ended. I'm not gonna write whatever that I think and experienced these past weeks but rather, I'm gonna write about how I met an interesting bunch of DTVM seniors after a very bondingful time together with a few of them today. This was how I met My Seniors.
This morning I had a wonderful time doing CASS Photoshoot. There was different portions to it. There are photoshoots to generalise the whole picture of CASS students. Group Photoshoots of the different Diplomas in CASS and also Individual photoshoots. I was selected for the group DTVM photoshoot and Individual DTVM photoshoot. This was when I met My seniors.
The first person I met was Bridget. As I rushed my way to Studio 19, thinking I was late, there she was standing at the entrance alone. First impression, pretty, fashionista and more of a DMC looking girl. And so I walked there and greeted her.
"You're DTVM right?" She said to me.
That was the conversation starter. Turns out the two of us were the early birds and had to wait another few minutes before most of the people came.
Next came Shafeekah (not sure thats the correct pronunciation.) whom I have met during the photoshoot auditions. To sum her up, she's the nice and innocent type of girl. A very DTVM looking person. And its true when they say DTVM students are the shy and quiet type as all of us just kept quiet initially.
The last to come was Denshu. Denshu, is a quiet yet friendly and sociable guy whom you can talk with easily. Mind you, he is in the DTVM honour rolls. He always gets A for his work. He is taking Diploma PLus for MATHS and is taking Private "A" levels. That sums up what you need to know about him. Thus, getting opinions from him was a very useful thing to have.
Both Bridget and Denshu were from 02 (awesome!) while Shafeekah was in 01 (also awesome la xD).The first hour was doing make-up with a professional make-up artist. As we all sat in the studio waiting for our turn to do make-up, we chatted and got to know each other a little more. As the only year one there, it was kind of awkward at first. Our conversations always ended up with food being the topic =.= (We were all hungry people) Breakfast was provided and that was all we could think about. We played a guessing game where each of us had to predict what was our breakfast. Bridget's was rice, Denshu and Shafeekah predicted somewhat the same with Noodles as their choice. Not to be overly optimistic, I said Bread. While doing this , Shafeekah and Denshu's stomach grumbled like an angry lion. Literally grumbled that led to a burst of laughter in the studio. By the way, our so called "sponsored breakfast" turned out to be a freaking donut. My prediction was unfortunately correct. =__=
Photoshoot was the awesome part. We did it on the hill near where the Aeroplane model was located at T19. The "DTVM look" consist of several props. A typewriter, IPAD and a clipboard. The initial shot consisted of Bridget, Denshu and Shafeekah. Shafeekah had to hold the insanely heavy typewriter, Denshu the clipboard while Bridget holding the Ipad. There were huge lighting set up and reflectors and all those sophisticated phototaking materials. Plus we had to do it under the hot sun. The next shot was me, Bridget and Shafeekah. I could tell that the two of them were suffering. Both had to wear heels and was constantly balancing themselves on the uneven grass surface. I was made a pillar for them to hold and balance on to. Afterwards we had an Individual DTVM photoshoot of which I and Bridget was selected for. It was a seating shot of which the both of us had to seat with a Macbook on our laps. The difficult part was the expression shown on our faces. We had to give a thinking expression. It was not easy with the sun just above us. All in all, it was a great experience. We were like professional models with the photographer directing our every pose and the make-up artist touching up our faces constantly. It was cool.
Sadly though, I had to rush off to Marina Barrage. We had planned to have chicken rice lunch together but I had to rush. There were a lot of things that we shared and I learned from them. It was a wonderful Saturday morning. Hopefully though the photos shot was as wonderful too. I hope i don't look ridiculous. >.<
